nah i 100% agree. at it’s best it seemed like a bunch of friends having fun, where the violence had no real world effect. when it operated on cartoon logic, it became, as the article said, a great tribute to that age when you felt like you were going to live forever.

yeah this makes me feel weird, because i still genuinely love jackass and think the tv and movies were both great art, but there’s no way that getting a bunch of young men to hurt themselves to be on tv is ethical.
