Every single day. I use in on both Xboxes, A/V receiver, TV, Tivo, BluRay player, printers, and stationary computers. When doing a backup, I plug in the laptops.

Of course, having wifi for the laptops, tablet and phones is a necessity. But for anything that doesn't move, it requires it, IMO.
