Do I get a free shirt as compensation for my Yugo picture? <3

I’ll be sure to come to the NJMP event, I’ve been looking to get more seat time on that track since it’s within driving distance and a lot of my friends go pretty often for PCA events. When/where are the BBQs? I’m always down for food haha

PART TWO! Upon submitting this I immediately remembered an even more BS traffic stop. Coming back from a friends house after a long night of assisting on a project car (around 3am), cruising up Hylan Blvd on Staten Island. It’s a weird warm February night, around 65 degrees and bone dry, clear visibility. I’m the only

I got a misdemeanor summons (no, not a traffic ticket) for “parking in a bus stop.” And by parking, I mean stopped the red light at the Jamaica train station on Sutphin blvd in Queens with 2 buses parked idly at the bus stop next to me, while my brother comes out from between both buses and gets in my car. A cop in a

It peaks around 4300 from idle, but with less load it spools much faster. And that’s with unequal length headers and a top mount. And no it’s not my daily, fortunately, but I basically drive it whenever I’m not working, so I have gas stations I favor and ones I avoid. It’s really only NYC gas, tho. I don’t have as

It’s the way my motor is built and tuned. 9:1 compression pistons and machined heads + 26psi of boost doesn’t take too kindly to regular gas. IIRC it’s at 9.5:1 compression overall to help spool my GT35r down low. The tune does all it can do to pull timing when it has to, but it can only do so much when, in bad

A CTS-V coupe and a CTS-V wagon, to make a shooting brake.

My STi will literally explode if there’s anything less than 93 in it. Between my peak boost and learned ignition timing, it won’t be able to pull enough timing to handle 87. Keeping it out of boost will help, but between highway merging and uphill driving, I’m better off draining the tank. Hell, it acts pissed even

Unfortunately, in a bid to reduce the cost of a car, car manufacturers use what they already have when assembling a car. I’m sure even the “smallest” AWD system (I’m assuming whatever BMW throws under the 3 series/All4) BMW makes still isn’t small enough to fit under the 2 door Minis, without spending *money* to make

This isn’t 1993 anymore.

Could have been a rental, Smarts are becoming popular rental cars for those ZipCar-style companies. And the 05 Smart doesn’t have the arrow on the gas gauge.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t this car be the most powerful front engine production car?

What I mean is, it’s still a Nissan GTR at it’s bare bones. To put into perspective what I mean, there used to be an exhaust shop out on Long Island, NY that held a record (I believe it was either fastest 5 speed or 6 speed) for both 4th gen Camaro and 4th gen Mustang, with the same car, because they would just swap

Some people are more impressed with certain records than others. If you’re a racing shop that has the time, money and skill to build a 5 second drag car with a custom billet block and tube chassis, records in that class might pertain to you more than just “stock block GTR record.” Me personally, I could care less

There’re a lot more factors that make this time impressive. It’s still the stock displacement, and stock chassis; whereas most muscle cars running sub-8 seconds have bored/stroked out engines, and are essentially just tube frames with a corvette or mustang lookalike body bolted over it.

I tell people this all the time, except my take on it is a little different. The world would be a much better, cleaner, more efficient place if we strictly limited the production and use of cars, and licensing out special use of “enthusiast” cars. I personally would have no problem obtaining a special, expensive,

German cars are garbage and offer very little advantages over Japanese and American cars, if any at all.

You can coast in gear until the car stalls, it won’t use as much fuel as it would be idling in neutral...hence why it stalls. The forward momentum of the car keeps the engine running until it is no longer moving (and thus stalls). In neutral, you dump fuel to keep the engine moving on its own, that the wheels would
