It’s the only thing that disappointed me in FFXII to be honest. I love the proper integration of Ivalice into the game. I love the level designs, the enemy encounters, the world-building. Plot was the one weak link of an otherwise perfect game. (Maybe this was why they tried too hard with focusing on story and

Don’t forget to mention that from the very beginning of the game to the end, Vaan’s sole motivation was to be a Sky Pirate, and fawned over Balthier the whole time. It was so excruciating having to run the game with him as the ‘main character’. There was never any agency from him in the plot, nothing memorable.

So true. I felt very confident when I first saw the ticks in the Chalice dungeons, but that was because they didn’t roam, so you had some initiative.

+1 to you sir.

Srsly, I thought the spear werewolf was the scariest thing when I started the game. Then I had enough levels to beat them. Then these guys popped up.

Your number three is probably my number one most hated enemy. The safest way I could deal with Potato Mashers is to spam my gun. Pimp Cane in trick mode lets me attack outside their range, but they’ll still reach if they do a wombo combo.

those heads... they NEVER run out of heads... O__________O

As it was thoroughly mentioned in the article, it’s the price point that’s the problem, not the fact that you need to spend cash on it. Given that people seemed to be content with how most of the cosmetic items cost, the way chromas were bundled and prices was way off from what people were willing to pay for.

You actually have to hold the x button while in the field and then move the controller (no menus open, no x prompts to pick up stuff or open doors.)

Yeah. Two molotovs before they start moving would be the best option. Baiting is doable, though for a newbie it’s too risky. (I didn’t want to mention strats since it’s a major shortcut that avoids the massive underground area.)

It works in SMB1 because ALL stages go from left to right, meaning you only need to look ahead in one direction. Look at the other SMB games after that and you’ll see that they have Mario in the middle of the screen again.

I get ya. Though to be fair, Kanji would fit the plushie-crafting Brony demographic pretty well.

umm... he was playing along with you. I don’t think there was any offense taken.

At that point I’d recommend sprinting to the next area; it’s not worth your time trying to kill all of them. The human mobs have this initial taunt animation that you can run past them before they start chasing.

I’m on my first run, and never summoned co-op yet. It’s definitely more immersive when you play solo.

The parry window for his lunge starts around right before he moves forward. I rarely get it right so I sidestep to the left instead and attack from his side.

Now playing

Someone made this vid. Pretty NSFW, but just too fun to watch.

Yeah, Tetra Master was way too RNG. Plus the huge 4x4 grid, the attack directions, attack types, and the combo chains... there’s just way too many variables to manage.

I watch Non Non Biyori. Not as good as swimming in a pool full of kittens, but it works.

She died on me the first time I went to the graveyard, so I missed her quest. Even more frustrating was I failed to kill Henryk even with his leftover HP. Took so many hours before I could beat him at full health...
