pretty much everyone was just speaking with no personality or subtext, even characters that SHOULD have a little more personality like Greef.

the “previously on segment” fully covering why Mando was exiled and what he needs to do to redeem himself, shortly followed by a new scene of him and the Armorer having the exact same conversation again.
Idk, I watched all of Clone Wars and mostly enjoyed it but this show is seriously overestimating how much I care about Mandalorian sectarianism and CW legacy characters. (Hint: not at all)
And S2 was pretty fucking amazing.
nervousness at Disney about losing a key marketing asset
It is pretty funny how they chose West Ham for Nate’s defection and now they’re in a relegation battle IRL
For people who didn’t see The Book Of Boba Fett, we’re gonna have videos that catch people up on it on [Disney+],” Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau told Empire. “And there’s plenty of user-generated content [on the internet] helping people get up to speed
Might be an unpopular opinion in the fandom, but Grogu’s return has me less excited about S3. I was surprised Disney had the guts to kill its darling and ride him off into the sunset.
I enjoyed S1 more. S2 felt like a series of backdoor pilots that ran towards the Skywalker saga. A big reason I was curious about S3 was that they had the courage to kill their darlings and send Grogu off never to be seen again.
I remember quite liking Solo up until the train heist. The problem is there’s still 2/3 of a movie left and I spent most of it wondering if Emilia Clarke is actually good, or if being on a massive ensemble TV show helped paper over some of her deficiencies as an actor.
Yeah, the D+ are starting to leave me simultaneous exhausted and unfulfilled. Either they need to space these things out or get better writers. Most of these 6-8 episode shows do a LOT of wheel spinning.
Namor that can fly with 2 little wings on his ankles.
Between the Neve Campbell exit and Jena Ortega being like “this one’s gonna be so extreme bro!!” the bad vibes are starting to mount
I didn’t love Mando S2, but I thought it was such a bold and interesting choice to kill their darlings and send Grogu off into the sunset. What a predictable, disappointing turn.
Making box office bombs for Ben Shapiro
According to Collider, John Wick: Chapter 4 runs an eye-watering 169 minutes long.
Real missed opportunity not calling it Joker: BAD ROMANCE
I’d like to see the MCU lean into more stuff like Werewolf By Night. A fun, hour-long romp that barely had any ties to the larger continuity.
Yeah, I was shocked there wasn’t more pushback during her press tour when she all but said, “What? Male directors do it all the time. Progress!”
Because it is an adaptation, and thus under no obligation to follow the labyrinthine, messy, and barely coherent “continuity” of the original comics.
