Perhaps it’s just my absolute adoration for Godzilla as a character and it being one of my favorite Kaiju films ever, but I think that’s a pretty big misread of what King of the Monsters is doing.

That was, without question, one of the single worst hours of television I have ever seen in my 43 years, and I almost exclusive watch genre tv. It joins Agents of SHIELD as the only other show I’ve ever completely written off before the first season was over.
