The Trench was the second book in the Meg series, unless it was a different series entirely?

I can’t even remember what the ending is. I read the first two back in ‘09, when the first(?) attempt to try and get a movie made was happening.

Not was, IS a book series, the 7th entry comes out in June.

It was in some early drafts, still not sure why the dropped it, but that whole bit is how the first book opens. Hell, it was the cover of at least one version of the paperback.

You ate once, I don’t understand why you would ever need to eat again...

I’m sure people are going to rage about this because it’s the internet and what is it good for if not raging about things that absolutely do not matter at all...but, honestly, it’s fine.

I’d be willing to bet a not insignificant amount that the vast, overwhelming majority of Destiny players buy everything upfront, and

Gonna make a few predictions here that are probably going to rile up the Xbots, but so be it.

Starfield - People are going to bend over backward to heap praise on Starfield because they’re so desperate for anything and I suspect it will be at least functional and fun for what it it is...problem being what it IS is just

I think that’s something the casual viewer doesn’t really understand, especially with Phase 4 stuff. They got real comic book with Phase 4, way more so than anything in Phases 1-3, and folks just didn’t seem to get it because they were coming at them with movie logic instead of comic logic.

I get why normies would be

We just saw the exact same thing happen with Quantumania. I kind of avoided it because I was feeling a bit burnt out and needed a break, and the reviews weren’t great...but I must have watched an entirely different move than everyone else because I loved every second of it.

I think a bit of that is because I’ve been

I thought it was excellent, but I seem to be in the minority on that.

Marvel films in recent years have been reduced to spectacles and events only Marvel fans enjoy, steeped in 30-plus movies of lore and seemingly endless hours of television context, but for a brief four-year moment in between 2008 and 2012, anyone could be a Marvel fan. And that might be what I miss the most.

Ah yes,

They announced it today, and........it’s more Heroic Assault...

I have a feeling breaking in half this season of this show, specifically, is not going to work out how they think it is.

The Witcher isn’t Breaking Bad or Stranger Things. It’s not the kind of cultural juggernaut either of those were/are to be able to sustain the interest to get away with it like they could. It’s

And....it’s more Heroic Assault....ugh...

In this ninth entry in the immensely popular and enduring film series, a group of young people on a distant world find themselves in a confrontation with the most terrifying life form in the universe.

That’s the official (incredibly generic) synopsis, and it’s all we know right now.

My read on it is that the game was, at least initially, a live-service game...until WBM saw how badly Avengers (and other failed single player/coop games with poorly implemented live-service guff shoehorned in) performed both commercially and critically, and they stripped out what they could without having to

I enjoyed it enough to play through it twice, with Babs and Jason, and aside from Heroic Assault there is nothing. You can give the boss rematches a shot at higher difficulties, but if you’re maxed out with the best gear they’re still super easy, and...that’s it.

I kinda get the impression that WBM expected people to

Just a few hours ago...

Disney sucks, but I NEED to see Desantis’ face kicked in and don’t particularly care who’s doing the kicking.

Guess these are just CGI teamups now, and we won’t be getting any more solo Godzilla or Kong films, so I’m out. GvK was awful, especially coming after Godzilla 2014 and King of the Monsters (the best Kaiju film in 30 years that everyone seems to hates, for some reason).

Enjoy your weightless, soulless action figures
