What I like about the New Sexualities is that it opens up the conversation, helping people to go beyond binary interpretations and begin to understand and communicate the individual complexity and variability of sexual feeling and expression.

I read The Stand a number of years ago. I’m not what you’d call a Stephen King fan by any stretch of the imagination. But I like horror and I’d heard SO many good things about The Stand that I committed to it.

Beauty is unpredictable, a genetic wild card, confers unearned power, is decidedly not egalitarian. It is considered a pagan value that has never been satisfactorily folded into any subsequent religious – let alone ‘politically correct’ – viewpoint. It makes most people uncomfortable, and understandably so.

JFK Jr. may have lucked out with the genes, but he was also served a lot of undisputably bad luck.
