I love crime shows but I really have to limit my exposure: they increase my paranoia exponentially. I start seeing a murderer on every corner and a rapist under every rock. I cannot live in that swamp of fear and mistrust those shows submerge me into.
Yes! Blergh! I find I can endure the earthquakes during the daytime. I have the most difficulty trying to get to sleep when, like now, there is the possibility of a nighttime recurrence. I don’t like the idea of being groggily awakened by – or completely unconscious during – a quake.
Isn’t watching Investigation Discovery or Forensic Files to find out what not to do “typical murderer behavior”, though? There is probably a file on everyone who watches those shows already. Best to watch crime shows at an undisclosed location like a motel, under an assumed name.

Had to look that one up on IMDb to know who in hell you were talking about!
Michael Peña is a Scientologist? I didn’t know that. Everything I read about the religion seems to focus entirely on the eradication of memories, ideas, emotions and people that stand between the adherent and “career success” (read: “movie stardom”). The cash flow from which must, of course, be funneled back into…
Totally.
I had difficulty watching The Handmaid’s Tale because I couldn’t reconcile all that feminist hero posturing/rebellion against oppression with what I’ve come to know about Scientology.
False Memory Syndrome!
You have a point. I suppose it would make them “sexier” and “more approachable...”
Was that Kim? So many InsTwitTubers are sporting that darkly pneumatic Look these days I wasn’t sure.
