It was an interesting movie, but far from "great". The ending was abrupt too. Not a fan of those.

This PS3 mod should be purchased by either Sony or Konami and act as a showcase for their gaming memorabilia corner.

In terms of hype (pending reviews) my list for the rest of 2008 goes like this:

When I am playing a videogame, the most important factor to me is the gameplay and playability (a.k.a. game mechanics). So I strongly disagree that we have to overlook game mechanics and focus on the uniqueness of the concept instead. That's a poor excuse for crappy gameplay and broken controls. If you want to compare

Wii era qualification sounds about right.

This story is the antidote of online buying (which I do quite often).

This week I will be adding Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (51st) and Portal: Still Alive (52nd) games to my back catalog. Yes, work and wife come first.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. And then MS wonders how a $200+ console sells better than them worldwide.

This is a pure work of love. Nintendo should just be a publisher and there will be free money for them. I mean, their work is done by the fans. Why not release this on VC?

We people of Kotaku couldn't care less about what you people of True-Gaming.net find offending. If you don't like your "holy scripture" references in any form of media, then maybe you should consider removing said references from your own books and literature as well. You also have the option to not buy the game and

@Jandlecack: I think it's pretty apparent that no console ever will pass Wii numbers this generation. When Wii Play and other junk sell millions while MGS4 barely reaches its forecast, and when Wii continues to print money even when it barely has any new worthwhile games to play, expect it to continue to do so well

@WordMan: The only thing that would make that game even more awesome is if it came only to DS and used exclusive tilt controls.

@lllusionx: I love Sony as much as the next guy (always liked the brand, including PlayStation) but somehow I fail to see how Sony can win this season. Let's start with hardware. $400-$500 cannot compete with $200-$400 (Xbox 360) especially with the weak economy. On the software front, not counting multiplatform

I haven't cried on any videogame ever, but Shadow of the Colossus' ending melted my icy cold heart.

One day I think Home will never be released and the next day I see all these custom game spaces popping out of nowhere. Seriously Sony, either get Home out ASAP, or kill it off altogether. But definitely make up your mind and stop torturing your fans.

Regarding PS2 and PS3, I think this is a move that Sony itself is orchestrating (keeping PS2 alive, killing BC from PS3) until PS3 hardware becomes cheap enough to drop prices and still be profitable. I certainly think that PS3 is the GCN of this generation. PS2 catalog will most likely be offered as DLC in a future

I still think that a Substasistence version of MGS4 will hit both PS3 and X360 in late 2009 or so.

@Talleh: My favorite person is Jade Raymond, bar none. We don't have to like their games, right? ;)

So, how many cents per disc are they making with a higher volume DVD manufacturing contract? Really, what's their strategy, loose some hundreds on each console sold, and gain some cents on each disc manufactured?

Good to know that they are still living in the '80s. Lair is also another game who refused to change the controls until it was too late for anyone to notice. And we know what happened with that one... Seriously, no game that comes out nowadays should have controls that take longer than 5 minutes to get used to.
