This is good news for people who have yet to get an X360, but bad news for Sony (they will have to adjust PS3 price accordingly). One interesting thing to note is that if MS is doing this so early instead of waiting for the holiday season, they must be feeling the PS3 heat really bad right now.

By the time PS3 will become profitable, we would be playing Xbox 1080 and Wii Too.

Looks like Ubisoft has concluded that the only market for DS is that of 10 year old or younger girls. Good for them. No sale from me.

The only way either Sony or MS could win over Nintendo, is if they combine forces in their strengths and make the ultimate anti-Nintendo console (PS3 hardware with X360 OS and XBL).

Maybe this will be my chance of getting either Mario Kart Wii or Yoshi's Island DS (depending on the sale price).

The difference between Gears and MGS is that Gears is brain-dead action, while MGS is a stimulus for your mind and your senses. Playing Gears is like reading a magazine. Playing MGS is like reading a novel. There are audiences for both games, but guess who is the smarter one.

As many have said, the PS2 was the best 3D console ever made and probably the only Sony console that will meet the predicted 10 year life cycle.

PS3 failed for a single reason: it's launch price. If the launch price was $299 for 20 GB and $399 for 60 GB Sony would have had a lot more losses per hardware sold, but it would also have much more sales from customer loyalty to PS brand, especially Europe.
