oh in that case, yes those kids are hilarious.  I would have done the same thing as a kid had I been born via C-section.  But then again my mom thinks that kind of thing is funny.  I suppose given this article talking about the stigma around c-sections that many families would not appreciate the jokes.

I’m sorry, I’m sure this was very serious for you and your family and an issue you had to work through, but it evoked some hilarious imagery to me.  Like were your kids serious, or were they being jokey about never being “born”?

This movie really resonated with my wife and I in the sense that we have completely different approaches to ambition and career, but we had such a deep connection after starting to date and we make each other laugh so much that it was worth figuring out how to do the tough negotiation of our lives.  I think Park and

Also “Always Be My Baby” should get edited in there too.

your office sounds horrific.  Seriously that many incidents is really...really scary.

HAHAHAH oh god yeah. “So is this the dad?” points to me. My wife goes “Yes he’s my husband” ....long pause.... “So he’s the dad?” ... “Yes.”

Their claim is that the car has everything it needs for full autonomy (not sure if they ever say level 5 specifically).  However if you purchased on AP 2.0 or 2.5, that wasn’t the case and you’d need a retrofit.  That retrofit is free if you purchased FSD up front.  Currently for AP 2.0 and 2.5 cars, the retrofit is

Right, and that’s the thing. It used to be that you could get Enhanced Autopilot which gives you everything available today, and then FSD was described as a fee paid that would give you all the features (And a retrofit of hardware if needed) for an early access price once software and regulation caught up.

Yes for her human form or her alien form.

YES!  THANK YOU!  That’s what I was saying.

I seriously don’t get how the guy controls himself. Like if you’re sleeping with a human but you got full yellow sun kryptonian powers are you basically just having slow gentle sex all the time? What if he only got off to rough sex? Seems...sad.

yeah my wife asked me to come with her for most of the appointments but it was really clear I wasn’t REALLY supposed to be there from the way the staff acted. And then beyond that I was asking questions and kind of treated like an idiot. Which, yeah my wife knew the answers to the questions I was asking the doctor so

I was expecting something different from the comments lol. Yeah I agree. I understand women shoulder this huge burden and make huge sacrifices into parenthood and that there are way more expectations and pressure on women than men. I don’t mean to diminish that. But I’m terrified of being a shit dad. I’m terrified of

Learning about back alley abortions, catholic censorship, and talking to women who crossed state lines to desperately get the needed care.  Also strangely reading a lot of Hannah Arendt’s works on political power/oppression.

I wouldn’t say you’re doing a disservice, and I have no right to make that kind of judgement on anyone anyway.  I’m merely thinking through what kind of talking points and words would be effective.  I really like your approach and perspective on it.

I don’t think there has been a significant response, no.

Yeah but the problem there is that you could get someone who says they’re all for reproductive rights, but then someone else has a law that they say isn’t impeding reproductive rights, it just puts “sensible” guard rails around abortion to protect babies.  It sounds so reasonable that plenty of people get behind it,

fivethirtyeight had a good podcast around this too. It’s a multifaceted issue of course but there’s a couple of key parts to this.

There’s a lot of bad that has happened in modern times, sure.  But every time someone tells me about the “good ol days” I think about stuff like this, or my own time in the hospital right after birth, and how so many lives are literally saved and made better due to modern medicine and science.

So many endings!  And the guide didn’t even cover all of them.  But it was a good guide.
