I almost bought the honda clarity. Great PHEV. 50 miles of EV range on that thing and then it gets around 45MPG after that. But the problem is that people aren’t buying them. I believe this is because car dealerships are actively getting in the way of them, but I only have annecdotes. Like actually every honda

Is that why there is backlash against athleisure though? I mean I’m not saying lululemon is a paragon of feminism, but overlooking the sexualization of the yoga pants, they ARE comfortable. There are a lot of women (maybe men too but haven’t seen those) who write op-ed pieces about protecting their sons from the evils

yeah I mean Express and J.Crew pulled themselves out of bankruptcy on this very concept A DECADE AGO.

I always assumed Toto was the way to go, but in Japan recently, I came to love the panasonic models, particularly the ch1101

just came back from japan. In the big cities (kyoto, osaka, tokyo) I remember one instance where there wasn’t a heated bidet toilet. That was Harajuku station. All the other stations had NICE toilets. Even the old temples where most of the stalls were squatters had ONE stall with a heated bidet toto washlet. Or a

Her inquiries into his sex life were not jealousy—they were assurance that her first time wouldn’t be shittily delivered by a fumbling newb.

I dated a girl who insisted I read atlas shrugged.  That was...an interesting relationship.

Other than perhaps tofu, what in Chinese food is processed?

Extra stars here. Do you see all the fresh veg they chop up on the daily? The place is great. And the sodium isn’t that bad... especially compared to any other restaurant.

man comments section here makes me feel really bad for OJ here.

yeah the breathless description of the lust these leggings cause...this leads me to believe that mom is having a hard time keeping her boner in check.  Kudos to her boys though for having the respect not to make any comment afterward.  Maybe they have something to teach their mom!

No I don’t think that’s true at all. The level of unreasonableness toward ring purchasing doesn’t seem to have a correlation with house or vacation spending. I’ve seen otherwise frugal women insist on a diamond ring because it’s “tradition” and just what is done.

Yep!

the only girlfriends or female friends who have paid more in insurance than me are the ones who have gotten into at-fault accidents.  Even then, most of them pay about the same or slightly less.  And I have a 100% clean driving record (no at fault accidents, no tickets, in fact no accidents AT ALL in the last 7

if it’s bad luck to use a diamond from a divorce, what kind of luck is it to use a diamond from child slavery?!?!?!

sure.  Fair callout.  I don’t have a child (YET!) so it’s moot for the moment, but if/when it becomes a conversation I’ll do my best.  Just generally this is one area where guys don’t have much leeway.  I would always encourage any child considering any sort of union to have a discussion with their potential partner

It’s a great sentiment, but it doesn’t hold true in reality. There are a lot of criteria someone can search for a partner on but the engagement ring one is a hard brick wall to try to get past. It crosses race and socio-economic boundaries and it is a hard deal breaker for a large number of women. Given everything

100% agreed.  I really can’t find anywhere else that comes close.

I think this would cause a lot of ring purchases to not happen. Seriously it’s one thing for a girlfriend to expect a 5-figure ring given to her when she has no stake in the partnership. It’s quite another thing when you’re in a union together with joint finances and you have to make a choice TOGETHER to blow over
