yeah the breathless description of the lust these leggings cause...this leads me to believe that mom is having a hard time keeping her boner in check.  Kudos to her boys though for having the respect not to make any comment afterward.  Maybe they have something to teach their mom!

No I don’t think that’s true at all. The level of unreasonableness toward ring purchasing doesn’t seem to have a correlation with house or vacation spending. I’ve seen otherwise frugal women insist on a diamond ring because it’s “tradition” and just what is done.

Yep!

the only girlfriends or female friends who have paid more in insurance than me are the ones who have gotten into at-fault accidents.  Even then, most of them pay about the same or slightly less.  And I have a 100% clean driving record (no at fault accidents, no tickets, in fact no accidents AT ALL in the last 7

if it’s bad luck to use a diamond from a divorce, what kind of luck is it to use a diamond from child slavery?!?!?!

sure.  Fair callout.  I don’t have a child (YET!) so it’s moot for the moment, but if/when it becomes a conversation I’ll do my best.  Just generally this is one area where guys don’t have much leeway.  I would always encourage any child considering any sort of union to have a discussion with their potential partner

It’s a great sentiment, but it doesn’t hold true in reality. There are a lot of criteria someone can search for a partner on but the engagement ring one is a hard brick wall to try to get past. It crosses race and socio-economic boundaries and it is a hard deal breaker for a large number of women. Given everything

100% agreed.  I really can’t find anywhere else that comes close.

I think this would cause a lot of ring purchases to not happen. Seriously it’s one thing for a girlfriend to expect a 5-figure ring given to her when she has no stake in the partnership. It’s quite another thing when you’re in a union together with joint finances and you have to make a choice TOGETHER to blow over

It looks really bad for a republican controlled senate to vote 57-0 on a climate bill. It actually helps those voters in the middle to potentially lean more democrat. If it’s 57-43 it makes it seem like a reasoned bill that just couldn’t quite cut it and needs some rework. 57-0 makes it look like the whole republican

I’m so happy this movie is doing well. It looks like it’s amazingly well made, and the top tier cast is getting the recognition they deserve.

Original game was actually first person with a 3rd person option.  It defaulted to 1st person though.  I often played in 3rd person myself.  Perhaps this game is similar in that you can switch on the fly?

For example, the adult man who still describes Wedding Crashers as a “great movie”

oh man I hope people don’t hack her and Nick’s phone.  :(  Maybe their whole relationship is BS but i want to believe they have this really special thing going so I hope people leave their shit alone.

Man HKF I understand so well.  I (hetero male) felt this jealousy when a friend (hetero female) started dating a guy seriously.  And I didn’t understand it at first because I knew I didn’t want to date her.  She was (and is!) my friend.  But I eventually realized what was going on.  She got the idea that I was jealous

I’m not sure how you can judge that little of it could get implemented. Getting through committee? That’s a different story now with a Democrat majority house. It’d need to get through senate, but actually that isn’t as much of a hurdle as a Republican controlled house was. That said, Aspiration =/= magical thinking.

In what way? It’s specific about aspirations, and since it is not a policy document, with mandates, the actual explanation for feasibility is that it’ll get paid for with taxes and defecit spending. Without knowing how much this measure will actually cost (which you don’t know. And I don’t know) you can’t really judge

Action needs to happen right now, but we don’t have to solve the whole problem right now. Again, it’s a roadmap to 2050. And again I’m not even saying this is the right move here, but the idea is that we’re at the event horizon here. If we don’t start taking action right now, then we won’t be able to solve the issue

High demand for skilled labor would beget cheaper training and more people interested in getting involved. Most huge undertakings do not have enough of the required resources in that moment to get the task done. I mean look at the medical field. We constantly hear there are not enough doctors or nurses. Are we taking

that’s part of the problem.  If you had read, you’d see that was not at all remotely close to what was stated above.
