I’ve wondered this too. It’s gone on for so long and to a point that it seems unhealthy. Maddie is talented, but I feel like she should be doing lots of creative things rather than playing the muse for this one artist through her entire creative development. 

Not sure, but what makes this worse is that she has in multiple interviews said “how’s a good way I can keep her safe is I can keep making projects for her” which is weird and possessive, but also implies that she never intended the role to be for anyone else.

I’m not autistic, but I am disabled and I do find it frustrating that Hollywood routinely doesn’t cast disabled actors in disabled parts. As a whole our stories are underrepresented in tv/ movies and then when they are told, they are told by people who have no experience being disabled, neurodivergent, or chronically…
