Your review turned me off because of how downright nasty you were throughout most of it, filled with disdain and almost what seemed like disgust for David Cage. Speak for yourself. It’s only because the movie was introduced overseas in a big way. The manga and anime tv show are vastly vastly superior to Oshii’s film, which fails as a movie on several levels.

I feel like the only people who would prefer the Akira film over the Akira manga have never read the manga, and are simply guessing.
