With Kirk, Spock, Bones (and to lesser extent, Sulu), it goes to show how much they took physical appearance into account. It's the perfect mashup- I really don't see them favoring one actor over another, so it makes me appreciate the casting work they did for the reboot movies.

I don't know that anything electronic would be a good idea. I don't think we're really apocalypse bound but any gadgets are unlikely to be compatible with future energy uses.

Disposable lighters, paper clips, safety pins, ball point pens, etc. So if thousands of years from now people have no idea what these things were for, the riddle will

I used to do stuff all the time for io9, but then because I did really cool things other people wanted me to do really cool things for them and pay me a bunch for it so now I do that and sadly I'm too busy to do stuff

Most of you know me anyway. I'm a medical oncologist around Chicago. My hobbies are complaining about bad science, io9, and complaining about bad science on io9.

Hi! my name is Bruno, i'm an architect from Argentina and work in 3d visualizations, also in my free time i make 3d characters such as these

Ken, archivist at Norway's National Library. Amateur drummer, Marvel comics fanboy, Babylon 5 nutcase. I like Battlestar Galactica, The Wire, Six Feet Under and long walks on the beach. I listen to Periphery, a-ha and Philip Glass. Guilty pleasure which I don't really feel that guilty about: The Matrix sequels.

Inigo Montoya, you killed my father. Prepare to die!

Can we just have the Tesla franchise of movies (starring Jude Law or Orlando Bloom...idk?) pitted against the evil Marconi (played by a younger Geoffrey Rush) with aliens and Illuminati and death rays and such...set in front of a ludicrously ornate World's Fair at the turn of the century, please.

History be damned.
