Don't worry, Oldwookiee, I saw what you meant and feel a bit the same way. Even now, I like characters who have a small something special about them or characters who were average people who were thrown into strange place, be it in a gothic house or a strange spaceship with your best friend.

I read YA, kids' books and adult books because I like to. Just because a book can be categorized as a YA doesn't mean that it's bad just like how a bestseller book doesn't make it great.

Honestly, the first person I think of whenever I think about John Connor is this guy. Part of the reason why I didn't like the idea of Christian Bale as Connor is the fact that he didn't look as tough/cool as this guy. Even though he's only in T2 for 30 seconds, he is the face fo the resistance for me.

Yeah, but TDK felt a bit heavy on the back end because of all the villains and the every director now is comparing their movie to TDK when TDK isn't a "One size fits all" concept. I'm not saying Nolan can't do it right, I'm saying not a lot of people can do it successfully.

Dear Mr. Nolan, please stop putting more villians in your movie. If it does well, our other director will try to copy your example and thus more movies will be bad. Please take one for the team.

My sisters and I were talking about this and how the ending of T4 (blugh!) should have been John dying and the rallying cry while the humans defeat Skynet would be "For John Connor" or John dying and his wife (now widow) names their child John, continuing the legacy of robot-killing Connors.
