If lesbianism were voluntary, Faux News would turn women into lesbians.

Ignoring them just gives them free rein. I wish people would give up the idea that ignoring works in anything but very specific circumstances. Most of the time, to let something be unopposed is to give permission to it.

It's like "positive thinking." Seems harmless, then the next thing you know it's the "just world" theory and "The Secret"———and if bad shit "happens" to you you just weren't positive enough.

I know I couldn't. I'd have no problem going the other direction.

Yeah. Whatever. Guess you're going to ignore the stunning male privilege you're displaying.

You think men have a perspective "not often seen" in society?! And that this perspective needs to be....on this site for......women?!

What do you mean, "wing"?

Already did. Twice. And a veterinarian double checked.

That person is quoting the source that I linked to earlier. Word for word.

There was a graphic recently making the rounds that showed how distorted modern breeding has made these poor creatures; many of these animals used to be working animals; now they're freaks.

I have a friend who fosters and adopts just a couple breeds of purebred dogs———-mostly the rejected ones. As somebody who only adopts shelter animals, it's horrifying to me that animals are bred for traits which shorten their lives and cause them pain.

It's a good thing they identified that statue. Otherwise, ugh.....

They might not know. It's not exactly something breeders want to get out, you know?

Sounds an awful lot like, "But she had sex with other guys, how dare she turn me down?"

No, actually, they can't. Try reading the link. You're arguing against geneticists and veterinarians because——?

Jeez, I didn't say their APPEARANCE caused them pain. It's the genetic mutation.

Holy shit, kinja is fucked up. This posted four times.

That cat isn't chill. Scottish Folds suffer from a genetic anomaly that causes them so much pain they try to minimize movement.

Nope. Not good enough. You do NOT breed animals knowing that what gives them their chic appearance dooms them to terrible pain.

Scottish Folds get their name from a genetic flaw that causes cartilage disease———but not just in the ears. That cat, like other Scottish Folds, is probably in terrible pain.
