I think most of the light is actually coming from the tower. with 300,000 mirrors pointing at it, even a small percentage of reflection from the tower is going to result in a lot of light.

I've gone through enough phones and tablets, I'd really like to be able to remove some from my Android Device Manager. Heck, there's one tablet listed twice in my device dashboard- one pre-Cyanogenmod and one after.
Well, there is the option to full wipe. I don't believe having a lockscreen passcode has any kind of option like that.
Amazingly, they're still around.
But this can also fold down.
Spark coil? Diesels don't need no stinkin' spark coils. There's a reason diesels are used in the National Radio Quiet Zone.
Instead of trying to perfect putting flat pieces of paper on a curved surface, he should have just tried to get his printer to print on the curved surface.

Probably reading Reamde. Neal Stephenson mentions the scrolling trick in that book.
I take that back, the coaster brake could be built into the frame/dropout.
Yeah, it doesn't look like it has space for a coaster brake. No hand brakes. What are the odds of it being a fixie then?
It's good to know you thought that through. But I guess you'd figure it out after the first prototype.
A minor problem is that it is not assembled like a normal watch, where the dial is separate from the case. So, if you find that the hands are slightly off (some people are really anal retentive about all the hands exactly lining up on 12:00), then you have to take the crystal out.
Didn't the Russians put that into the US embassy in the 1970's?
A regular induction range can boil a quart of water in ninety seconds. I'm sure reducing the amount of water to a cup would also reduce that boiling time.
I don't know why you're resurrecting a two month old discussion, but the pads appear to be the kind crimped into the holders like the ones mentioned and pictured in the first three paragraphs here: http://sheldonbrown.com/rim-brakes.htm…
And dirigibles too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_a…
Wireless charging != NFC charging. How about Qi, PMA, or even Touchstone?
It makes you wonder- if he really wanted to see a drip, why didn't he set up multiple experiments side by side?
From what I remember in my discussions with a friend who is somewhat a battery expert, the issue is that the batteries in personal electronics are smaller than the power pack on the Boeing. I'm not sure about the ELT.
