T2 was not a misfire and is, in fact, a highly-rewatchable delight.

Uh, every Alexander Payne movie is pretty clearly a comedy, at least to the same degree that Downsizing is? His first two in particular are very farcical and have tons of jokes and laugh lines. And Nebraska is depressing at many times, but is played very much as a comedy for a lot of it’s run time. 

“Hey, you know the two categories that are the most basic elements of filmmaking? Yeah. Fuck those.” 

Yes, the double standard. When Republicans act racist, Democrats call for their resignation. When Republicans are accused of sexual assault/harassment, Democrats call for their resignation. And when Democrats commit those same offenses, Democrats . . . call for their resignation.

Look, as a gun safety and self-defense expert, I have to tell you that you are not being realistic. Firing a warning shot into the ceiling only silences committed protestors in the movies or tv.  Hesitating to take them out the moment you feel threatened by their point of view might give them time to say something…

Look I work for the NRA and you people are just nuts. Sensible gun control could have solved this problem. If Congressman Gaetz was allowed to carry his pistol while Congress is in session he could have silenced these people by shooting two or three times into the ceiling, maybe a warning shot was needed but certainly…
