This legitimately made me tear up. Super heartbreaking. (Which I feel ridiculous for as they are fake dogs but damn)

As a trans woman myself. Yeah I haven’t even bothered to watch it.Sick of them casting cis men as trans women it is really hurtful so that alone killed the show for me.

Jeffrey Tambor isn’t playing a man. He is playing a woman a trans woman.

Oh and 4. I repeat don’t use trans people as a mocking thought experiment.

1. “A trans” is still offensive k? 2. No society is just trying to move forward and respect people regardless of gender, sexual orientation race etc. 3. No, no it isn’t intolerant or sexist to be straight, nobody says that that’s a non-sequitur you are using to try to make the people asking for respect sound

One don’t use trans people as a mocking thought experiment. We are real people. Two trans is an adjective so saying “a trans” is pretty offensive. The correct term would have been a trans woman or trans man, or trans person depending on context.

My problem with Other M isn’t the baby Metroid and PTSD stuff that’s fine (Though not written that well) My problem with it is her taking orders from a dude to the point of absurdity. (I’m in lava but he hasn’t told me I’m allowed to use my lava-proof suit yet...oh well guess I’ll have to burn) Having her do this

And you wrote this way more eloquently than I could have. So I am just gonna a say THIS ALL OF THIS. (My experience is clearly not the exact same as yours, but still enough similar stuff)

Yeah no your reading of Claire is absolute nonsense sorry. She doesn’t read offense into everything, and as a trans character, the things she brings up are real world struggles, which Jeph deals with in his comic. It isn’t supposed to be a magical future where everything is magic and perfect, (I will give you that

Claire is literally my favorite character in Questionable Content...I thought she was great representation, that avoided making her one note, or a fetishization of our “struggle”

Just a heads up the article says the character is a trans woman. So your comment should read “outing her” not “outing him” FYI :)

Thanks for the heads up on this one. Being a trans lady myself hearing it revolved around a trans character probably would have made me check it out. But knowing this, yeah just ugh. I don’t want to go near it. Fetishizing us and “the struggle” seems to constantly happen in terms of representation for us and it is soo

Glad the first sounds interesting to you :) I love it. And Kill la Kill is made by Studio Trigger which was formed by a lot of ex-Gainax people, the people responsible for Gurren Lagann and such.

I have not been watching MGRP I am kinda done with the whole dark magical girl thing, I want happy Magical Girls lol.

Post 2011 gave me two of my favorite anime of all time so I must share them with you lol. Gatchaman Crowds (It takes what was a standard super hero show, and makes it into a show about society, politics, communication etc and is just really, really great) And Kill La Kill over the top magical girl action from the

Yeah...no. Sorry you feel that way. It has gotta suck to be upset about people being inclusive and giving multiple options so people can pick the one they feel most comfortable with.

Yes cause trans issues totally dominated the left’s speeches this election...except no they didn’t. So, what are you complaining about.

No I got the point. And the point involved mocking gender identity.

Because inclusiveness is ridiculous...sure...

Cause mocking people’s gender identity is always helpful...
