Awesome article.  Thanks for proving the quoted author’s point.  *thumbs up*

For me, this answer is easy: 1995 F250. Why?

Because back in 2007, I hit a deer broadside going about 55MPH. The deer was toast, and I was SURE my front end was too.

Nope. Bumper was messed up, and I actually hit him hard enough to bend the mounting points on the frame that the bumper was attached to. It did not,

Maybe something’s changed, but the last few test drives we’ve been on (4 of them, prior to our purchase of a Toyota Highlander 3 weeks ago) were literally ALL day or two-day long test drives.  They were like “Meh, here’s the keys, take it for a day or two, we’ll see ya.”  lol

I’m about as conservative as one can get, and....it’s a game. Games are sort of MEANT to provoke. I’ll play this just as gladly (if not more so) as I played FC5.

Besides...we all know FC games dance around issues but never get to the heart of them.

BOY.....

....I’m glad God of War won.

Seriously though, this is a pretty dang good deal.  As it is, they’re offering $300 for trade-ins on an iPhone 8; and if I, say, decide to go with an iPhone XR, I can get one (with trade-in) for $374.  That’s a pretty good deal.

As a veteran of 17 years...can confirm. Dealt with multiple deployments but now I’m on medication for PTSD because I couldn’t handle the 34th password request.

(Yes, I’m kidding.)

In short, yes.

The biggest reason my son might have for a phone (other than “everyone else has one”) is emergency contact.

1. I work 4 miles from my son’s school.
2. It’s a private school, so they get checked in and out anytime they go to/from school.
3. I can contact the school, the principal and the teacher at any time

Yeah, that’s ridiculous on their part.  I own a 13 F150 5.0, and while I won’t say it ‘easily’ towed a 30' camper (I had to get down to 3rd gear at times), it had no issues towing it, never overheated, and had no problems maintaining 60MPH while doing so.  I mean, if it’s rated to do so and the Hemi (more powerful

That’s scary; that is literally what happened to mine - 2002 Ram 1500, except mine locked in 2nd gear at 52xxx miles. (Let me tell you...driving 30 miles to the nearest dealership in 2nd gear was tons of fun.)

New valve body...and it did the SAME thing maybe 5K miles later.  Traded it in on a 2004 F150...that one has

Someone’s butthurt.

Yep, the fact that around here it’s impossible to find ANY Highlander with leather, V6, all wheel drive, and less than 90K miles for anything less than $20K.

There are tons of Highlanders for $15K, but they’re either missing V6 or AWD (or both) and almost always have 90K miles or more....so to find all of this for $15K

I’m with you there, but hey, it made my wife feel better, so there’s that.

I purchased an F150 in 2013, and it had absolutely squat to do with looks or coolness. It had everything to do with a) deals and b) the salesmen being willing to work with me. *shrug*

That, and the fact that I’ve owned 4 Ford Trucks, and have never yet been left stranded, between about 600K miles (spread amongst the 4

I didn’t have the 47RE in my 2002 Ram 1500 4WD, but it didn’t matter - after 17 times to the shop in 18 months (6 of those for transmission issues) it left a ridiculously bad taste in my mouth, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to purchase a Ram/Dodge again because of that.

IMHO, if they do nothing more than

Just got a fantastic deal ourselves.  2012 Highlander SE V6 AWD, absolutely loaded, with 60K miles.  Certified used by Toyota, with lifetime engine warranty and 3 years/36K miles B2B warranty; ended up paying $15K flat for it.  :)

Can’t listen to this without thinking of Snake.  (Snake?  Snaaaaaaake....!)

I can easily keep all my balls in the air.

*lies down on floor, legs in air*

(Sorry, but you knew this was coming.)

This is an excellent article, but there was one thing that got missed, and unfortunately I know this because of real-life experience:

Make sure you separate your workspace and your bedroom.

My wife and I had a house extension added in 2016 to add a new master bedroom suite, laundry room, and on-suite bathroom. The
