There’s a pretty serious question whether this is actually legal, as asylum rules are enshrined in both US and international law. It’s not clear Trump can unilaterally change the system with nothing but guidance, no matter how many racists at the DHS he’s got that support this inhumane policy.

I honestly haven’t looked, but since there are multiple accounts pushing the same video I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if it had been tendentiously edited and pushed out via the right-wing media echo-chamber. Hardly the first time a misleading or edited video did.
