Unless this thing comes with receipts for a recent timing chain guides/tensioner replacement, CP.

Every time an Audi is up for CP/NP, I say the same thing:

The chain driven V8's have such a notoriously bad rap that the value of these cars drops like rocks after 100,000 miles. They earned a “time bomb” reputation due to plastic chain guides and sticky oil check valves. The check valves can be replaced with the engine still in the bay, and is a much better preventative

Typical Jalopnik comment, is typical.

I bet this thing will have an interior that will make RR execs sweat. Pair it with an engine and transmission that is vastly more reliable and you have a recipe for a car that will be superior.

Hi, I’m the GCSRT-8. I sell for 80K, and, am the best selling SRT product.

Slow down, it doesn’t even exist yet. And using that logic, nobody would buy an S-Class because an E-Class has the same badge and looks nearly identical.

I understand lots of people want to be recognized for what they pay for something; the badge does mean something a lots of people like that. Just as many people don’t want to be seen as flashy. Where I work we commonly interact with customers and it’s poor taste to flaunt flashy items in their face. Most executives

IDK, the Wagoneer was always an RR competitor back in the day and the Grand Cherokee is very competitive today with not only 4Runner type SUVs, but also upper level SUVs like a Toureg, XC90, X5, etc. I don’t see any reason why, it wouldn’t do well against an RR, it’s not like either company can brag about heritage,

No reason not to try tho.

Trump to take credit in 5,4,3

Not bad.

Needs Wood Paneling on the side.

“next generation family transportation designed by millennials for millennials,”

“Seeing as it shares similarities with the Touareg, running cost shouldn’t blow you away.”

Crack pipe. Although the Porsche gets a good rep for reliability, everyone I know that had the SUVs had major issues around 100k miles. Maybe the VW v6 is better, and maybe the manual doesnt have any issues, but i wouldnt give more than 5k for that timebomb. Everything for this car is going to be expensive. 1500+

I love Porsches. Wait, let me rephrase that.

Price is good. From what I’ve read, this vehicle is actually pretty good at what it wants to be.

Would not buy this at any price, because good luck reselling a non-offroading stick shift SUV. Ever.
