As bad as it was, there have been much worse F1 cars. In fact, this thing was probably more competitive in its day than Williams are right now.
Fun fact, the 33 Carabo, in addition to inspiring the styling of the Lamborghini Countach, was also the first car to have scissor doors, which also made their way onto the Countach, the first car sold to the public with scissor doors. We call them Lambo doors, but technically, they should be Alfa doors.
When it’s something I can’t handle, I take my out of warranty cars to a shop like this. And even though they’re just normal cars, there’s always 1-2 exotics and high end luxury cars getting work done there as well.
As long as they do good work, I don’t see the need for a massive shop floor and tons of extra overhead.. with these cars, you’re paying enough for the repairs already.
I don’t wanna come off as a Debbie Downer, but aren’t nice M3 and C63 Coupes of similar vintage trading for similar money, if not less?
I remain convinced that those captcha things are just Google crowdsourcing their computer vision systems.
The sensors were actually so good they could detect the crowd standing behind the haybales.
Well. It is a Mustang at a car show after all.
What a monster considering how many hands were reduced to heads-up with marginal cards. A 3-way pot with A-A, K-K and K-K to determine the final table is insanity.
The BRZ motor was new for the model year the BRZ was introduced. And if you want the BRZ to be quicker to 60 than the Miata, just change the diff gearing. It’s the tall gearing that slows the cars sprint time down. Still a fantastic car, as is the Miata.
This isn’t just Toyota. This inability to make a competent and timely sports car is a culture problem that is rampant across Japan. The Japanese treat sports cars as a pursuit of passion, not an ongoing business proposition. They occasionally have a fun idea, roll with it, put it on sale whenever they finish…
If Vardy and Rashford subs had been reversed there’d have been a long shot at bypassing midfield if they could have just hit it down the channels, but yeah, the midfield was the difference.
McLaren is a joke. Used to be so good.
All you had to do was watch Hamilton during the last race. He’s a great driver and all that but it wasn’t even a competition, the dude powered from last to 5th in no time, as his car is so incredibly superior to all the others except for the Ferrari and Red Bulls. Most drivers were just moving aside as they knew…
Formula One has always been a story of the haves and have-nots but in the past a have-not with a revolutionary idea could jump to the top. Unfortunately, of late, the rules have eliminated creativity and rewarded execution. A team with more money is going to execute the formula better. (Unless they’re McLaren)
Houstonian.
Good stuff.
“I understand you were desperately in need of something smooth.”
There were breathtaking numbers of people (including the announcers of the game) who were “stunned” that Brasil lost. To which i say, "have you been living under a fucking rock?"
