Also the water pump is timing chain driven and if it fails it dumps coolant into crankcase (:

One of chrysler’s worst ideas, heard those are the easiest way to end up with a V4 motor (when it will drop two rods due to oil starvation) haha!

    The all-new 2016 BMW Ridgeline!

I fill up my vehicle at 1/4 tank, 170l goes in at that point, then it takes me 2-3 weeks to go back to 1/4 tank... If I drive anything that I have to fill up once a week (or more often) just because the fuel tank takes 60l or so I get mad that I cannot take more fuel with me... Call that the opposite of “the sticker

    (:

Just found one - you, because you still don't understand... Fuel gauge gives mi an estimation, fake temp gauge gives me nothing...

I have a bunch of vehicles I spend time in, yes they are all older models, and no, I will not shut up. Explain to me what is a point of a gauge that serves no purpose ok? I’m talking stock vehicle without any aftermatket add-ons like scangauge (which is a good product btw, I used it on 6.0 psd’s) anyway such said

Also I don't give a flying f*ck which bulb is out, I want them to be out, stealth mode! Just give me real gauges, ha! My gm van has them, why almost nothing else does?

Scangauge is a handy tool to have... But that's not it (unless that functionality comes built in into that fancy mfd) My point is why include a gauge that almost does nothing? But the same can be said about almost anything on a modern vehicle....

The only problem is so many vehicles nowdays will not let you know they're running hot until it's too late... Fake gauges should be banned!

I’m not even going to mention that most crossovers (if equipped, mostly not.) have a part time AWD systems that disengage after vehicle speed sensor goes above 10mph even if you’re still not moving... Even with that a locking diff would make a huge difference, but no, those come with e-lsd (pseudo limited slip by

I’ve got burned by that once... Bought an used F350 off a GM dealer - they had it inspected in house, no issues whatsoever according to them. The truck wandered like hell, so I asked them to have it checked out by a Ford dealer, they did not care as long as I’m paying for second inspection. Fine I said, Ford dealer

Ferguson was also kinda involved with Jensen, particularly the awd version of their interceptor called ff...

Aren't those vans famous for motors that like to snap crankshafts in half? Now that's a turd... Not to mention the smell inside on a warm day...

When PMD was going in my 99 Savana 3500 van (auto trans) it would stall occasionally on stopping on red lights or stop sign, now they call it a feature...

    Local junkyard parking lot!

I’m ok spending whatever amount on maintenance/repairs as long as my monthly repair budget does not exceed average monthly payment on a new similarly capable vehicle... Which means to me I’ll drive my rustbuckets forever, as vans and trucks are going up in price every month... Even if I spend 5k on repairs annually

$31k Canadian, on a brand new fully upfitted work van (ladder rack/divider/full shelving/rubber floor/inverter/light bars)

Cars in my area are badly rusted, I wonder how would they do on a modern crash test...

Cannot wait till those cars will start texting and driving...
