Or a Suburban/Tahoe, if you need enclosed cargo space/don't want to deal with leaky topper on a pick-up... Those can be had for about $1500-3000 in decent shape

Not that Odyssey transmissions hold up great anyways...

I believe “pchelka” means flea, not bee... but I’m not 100% on that...

Don’t know about the new ones, but early Patriots have some serious rust issues...

    Work van special:

Don’t forget about dual ECU’s each running half of the motor!

Re Old Chrysler turbo motors - my 89 caravan 2.5 turbo lasted to 320k km without any issues. Change oil, timing belt and spark plugs on schedule, use good fuel, and as tempting as it is do not overboost, and they run forever (:

    If that was a shoe...

    2) Warranty - doesn't matter, dealer will do anything not to fix your car. They will even find a way not to do a recall on a half year old vehicle. F$$$ new cars, manufacturers and dealers!

...just 11000kms from me, If I had room for it I would pull the trigger riggt now... Have to get rid of stuff... Too many cargo vans...

It's called a weekend project, putting in a transmission that meets your requirements (:

Nothing beats holding off with harmonic balancer replacement on 6.5 diesel (it's just a fancy crank pulley) next thing you know, you've got yourself an elusive two piece crankshaft :/

Firefox’s ok, but maybe try Midori, last time I’ve checked it made browsing possible on a xp netbook with n270 atom junk...

Let's try to register it as kit car-replica? I think that could fly in Alberta.

I bet it will go through chain tensioners just like older models haha

In 2008 I’ve bought an 89 caravan turbo, 3spd auto that was sitting in the back of a service station for $50 cash.

Happened to me once in the winter in 2000 diesel savana van, all the hoses that go from wipers under the cowl broke, so washer fluid wasn't going on the windshield at all, around noon snow started melting and I had to drive this van all around town with my head out and winshield covered in road grime that thick almost

I wonder how the underbody looks like...

You will have fun time getting diesel specific wear items (timing/injection/even clutch) and those will be at a premium so high you’ll rather buy another beater. I had a bunch of older diesels and know this pain...

He would have to go down to $900, then fine...
