Agreed - it’s all about the torque. I have a NB TDI (2001) with the 2.0L ALH motor. About 100HP but good torque.

My 535D has about 300HP and 465 LB/Ft torque. I think 0-60 is in the 4.9 range. Not a speed demon off the line but great passing power. It has so much torque I can do the whole 1 pedal driving thing in stop…

On my 535D, the cigarette lighter is in the cup holder/coin try area. Why is this bad? Because if a coin falls into the port the cig lighter/USB charger goes, it will blow the fuse. Not world ending, but not smart planning. I imagine that there are more electronics under the cup holder as well...

You have to do Tesla math. Take the release date and add 4 years to that. Actually it’s gotten better, but I’d still add in some years on top. Teasers were shown in 2019, so we are already at three years, with at least one more to go...
