The worst part of converting classics (in addition to removing what makes them classic to begin with) - just like EVs made from regular ICE vehicles, they are full of compromises to fit in the battery and motor. Most likely no trunk or frunk, bad weight distribution, etc.

Many third party android head-units (replacement units not factory units) have some basic OBDII functions built in (these head-units) are just modified android tablets) to read sensors and clear codes, etc.
It does use the recycled tropes, but done on purpose. It typically breaks the 4th wall. There’s even a narrator character, who’s name literally means Narrator. Not that he’s some body-less voice as you expect, he’s just a kid in the class who comments on things going on.
It IS a good read, despite the fluff. It leans strongly on the character names and uses them for comedy.
