Anyone who followed the whole Suzuki Sidekick issue with CR should know that when CR really wants to destroy a company (in order to get more subscriber money to build a new headquarters), they can do it.

The truth of the matter is that Tesla didn’t design their cars for it (they stick out like large lumps on those that aren’t designed for it). They look like afterthoughts at best or warts at worse.

Wasn’t there a case where the powdered sugar from a donut tested positive? They are laughably bad...

This thing and the Kia EV6 look like real winners and true competition to Tesla and other makers.

The whole issue will either become moot or EV will simply dominate the car culture.

It’s such a bad take. I had the newest version of the Passat before selling it back because of diesel-gate. I kept the Velcro trunk mat thinking I could drop it into my replacement 5 series. Nope, the 5 series trunk was like 2 feet too short. The Passat was the same size (other than width) to the Audi A8. It was huge!…

I owned the same year Passat TDI SEL with the DSG. Loved the car but was ticked off by the whole fix/buy back thing.

Meh...100K in the Bay Area will get you a 1/2 tank of gas. Or a cup of over-priced coffee. It may not even be enough to pay the toll to cross any of the bridges.

Only the inline diesel, the newer v6 has a major weak spot.

Want something more practical but still with some driving excitement? Room to haul the whole family?  Zero gravity seats?  Ability to power a fridge when you go camping?  Even comes with a tax credit?

Simple solution. Every day, submit a citation yourself to the police. Make sure to hit all the local judges, the police chief (maybe even his wife), the local cops, and definitely the dude who started this.

It’d most likely be easier to swap in the trans-mounted Yamaha V8 used in the Volvos (another Ford product at the time)...

Why bother putting in a 6 litre motor when the 3L diesel that they ALREADY offer in the X5 has nearly the same torque (465) at half the engine size (and I would assume much greater weight and lower MPG).
