That 1.5L motor makes 200HP and like 220 torque. MY DIESEL makes 238 HP and 465 ft/lbs or torque, and will waste the boring mobile that you suggest. And is more engaging to drive. And still gets 40 MPG in stop-and-go traffic. And 50+ MPG freeway.

BMW sure seems to have no issue mating an auto (they only come as auto) with the inline 6 diesel. They smoke a lot. Tires, that is...

I found the flight part of Battlefront II the easiest part of the game. The ships were too easy to fly, the enimies tend to come right at you or not even fire at you. Hopefully it’s not more of the same. With the targeting the nearest enemy, just flying in a circle and aiming for the nearest enemy got boring quickly.

Diesels are really hit and miss. What I can say is that they operate best when driven long distances, not short trips. I’m on my third diesel. One currently is approaching 300,000 miles, my TDI was bought back at 90K and my 535D is approaching 80,000. Not a hiccup.

Actually, BMW is still using the N57 motor. Both the regular dual turbo (which I have in the 535D) and the triple turbo use the N57 as the basis.

With about 100 more HP but about 100 ft/lbs of torque - I would say this isn’t anything that would compel someone over the X5D. I’m sure it weights much less as well. The X5D is a great setup.

I had a 2013 Passat TDI which VW bought back because they couldn’t fix that particular model due to having a unique motor only used for one year.
