Either you are trolling us or you didn’t really drive one - must have just sat in one. One that was off.

I really dig the spongebob van...

Many years ago I purchased a beetle TDI - the most basic version (cloth seats and power nothing). When I went to change the brakes I noticed I was missing a wheel bolt (VWs use bolts instead of nuts on studs).

It’s called the 3 because Model E was already taken...

Cred?

Volvo and VW both had them in Europe - they got over triple digit MPG. Never got them here...

No way, keep that thing and head over to BAT in a couple years to sell it at some outrageous price like all those other oddball car auctions.

I actually saw a Malibu Hybrid on my commute in to work this morning.  So at least one was sold in Northern California...

OK BOOMER

On my 535D, the eco-mode not only charges the battery when coasting, it kinda disables the rear drive-train which means you can coast for days and days - even on flat roads. It’s awesome. Coupled with the fact that diesels cut the fuel when coasting contributes to pretty great MPG considering the gobs of torque.

Forget barefoot driving - can we make THIS grounds for the death penalty? Or at least an ankle-hobbling?

The BMW 550D has the I6 with 4 turbos and 550 ft/lbs of torque compared to the previous version with 460Similar motor, just more turbos. It’s a sweet ride, but the last diesel you can get from them in the US unfortunately (stopped in 2019 I believe).

Hello there, KIA grill!

AHEM

Aww yisss, that’s the stuff.

Well, looking back on it it kind of makes sense. Both our names were on the lease, and I’m sure they would have put on the executor if if needed. It just wasn’t anything special for those that passed, it was more of “we’ll figure out someone else to pay for it” department.

Here’s my real life story:
