Toyota is banking on hydrogen for the simple fact that they would not only love to lock drivers into the whole “you can only fill up at the station” business model...they would love to own the stations or the tech/IP behind them.

Why would Jeep, who’s bread-and-butter products are off-road capable (mostly) want to say to customers “if you want to go off-roading, may we suggest you buy a quad runner with a Jeep knock-off body”

This line is partially owned by the state and all the revenue from this line goes straight into the state DOT - so the state basically owns the line over the bridge.

Railroads typically maintain a 1% grade which would mean a 1 foot increase would require 100 feet of approach on either side. A 2% grade (2.5% is pushing it for a normal line but not unheard of) requires only 50 feet on either side to be modified.

Spoken like a true diesel hater. My 535D M Sport rocks 465 ft/lbs of torque stock, and deleted ones hit about 700 ft/lbs. They are no slouches. Oh, and 40+ MPG is nice too.

Sure the EPA can take away their waiver. FYI - this isn’t the first time a republican admin tried to do this and they have lost in the past. The *only* reason they are doing this now is because they fear a loss in 2020, or they want a federal court with judges that are owned by the republican party to decide this…
