You are correct except for the last one - these cops won’t be charged with anything. The prosecution will either try to pin something that a jury won’t convict on, or if they go with an easier to convict charge, and the jury will acquit anyway.

Meh, ALH/AUH engine swaps are a dime a dozen, since they are the last of the older style TDI motors and easy to transplant. I’ve seen plenty of Caddy’s, Audi TTs (MK4 swaps are the easiest as they all share the same platform), and Sciroccos to get my fill.
