I keep saying that VW, when hit with the diesel scandal, should have purchased Tesla and did the same thing that Volvo is doing with Polestar.

This will never happen because all of the direct competitors to Tesla wan to beat Tesla. And they think they will beat them at their own game and on their own technology.
