These are notoriously bad transmissions - as in they fail before 100K. When I was getting close to 100K I was going to change it but didn’t. The further I got from 100K I decided to not touch it if it wasn’t broke.

I own a 2001 TDI NB and I’m nearing 300K on mine. Maybe it’s the diesel that helps the engine last longer...

I was taught in little league that anytime you enter the box at home plate, you are “live” and anything you do can count - which is why batters step out of the box to choke up and swing between pitches.
