That is the Euro fix - the US fix is different.

You only really hear about people who have issues. You rarely hear people bragging about how great their car is (unless you’re on Jalopnik)...

If you were REALLY a VW insider you would know that VW is currently crushing Gen1 cars. It’s been chronicled on the TDI forums. You should know that, right?

The fix has been out for several months - it does use more adblue. That was to be expected. It mostly changed the shift patterns to shift earlier, even in sport mode (sport mode is now like regular mode). One of the first TDIClub members to get the fix just recently reported the following:

Gen1 cars are being scrapped by VW.

Actually - the fix is not allowed to increase fuel use or decrease performance.

pics or it didn’t happen.

Exactly - I said both acted badly - but the coach actually helped her out a little there.

The truth of the matter is that she dropped her hands first as an intentional snub. So she did this as a purposeful act. Kind of like Sherman attempting to give Crabtree “good job dropping the ball” ass pat.

At least it’s not Bugs Bunny dressed as a woman.

That’s good to hear. We need more of this info to come from tesla to the general public. There most likely is a large segment of the population that fears buying stuff online, especially the second most costly purchase a family can make (second behind housing).

Those who have already gone thru the process know how this all work (thank you for giving us some details of the process, BTW).

This just means that repairs will be limited to those who can pay Tesla the big bucks to access the IP related to the vehicles. How does that help the local mom and pop repair place. Remember, this will be for a $35,000 every-man car, not a 6-figure luxury barge.

And, apparently in most states, no place to sell them.

“This flat out isn’t true. Tesla will freely license their EV tech to other companies who want to use that tech in good faith. The few instances they’ve litigated over their IP was when those patents were directly infringed upon not in good faith, and seemingly without any prior contact with Tesla.”

Actually, most of the regular car buying public, have no idea how they sell their cars. Since they don’t have a dealer network, the only info available is on their website, I guess. No TV ads or anything.

MEH!

This launch is going to be a disaster.

This is Jalopnik - all we care about is the TQ #’s

LOL - so true.
