@unwritten_law9: try flashing earlier versions of clockworkmod recovery if it's not working properly. You can access them in rom manager too.

I always have two batteries on me at all time. That way I'm always able to pull more than a day.

use Tasker. Program it so everytime you leave a certain app (like your game) media volume is going to 0. I have a similar task for when I plug/unplug my headphones.

When I spot an application who keeps draining my battery, I trigger a task in tasker to kill the app as soon as I'm leaving it.(assuming the app is not doing anything useful when backgrounded I.e.: rogers my account)
