My parents had a first gen Civic when I was a kid and this would happen accidentally every once in a while, still like how airy it feels to drive a car like this.

I have two CTEK charger/maintainer/desulphaters, a 6V for the oldest motorcycles and a 12V I rotate through everything else. I know these are considerably more expensive but I’ve had very good results with them and CTEK even sent me a new one when my old one stopped working a few months after the 5 year warranty had…
I’m not from the US but that looks identical to the new Frontier model that’s been on sale here for about a month now. Been thinking about taking one out for a test drive actually.
I’ve always thought the MGB’s dual battery compartments would work well for something like this provided you don’t need to transport anything big, you could even do a dummy battery for extra stealth.
I’d seen one before in Mexico, only that one I believe had no engine and had been made with the express purpose of winning audio SPL competitions.
Driving at German autobahn speeds it’d be just about doable in 2 weeks
Just having an uncommon car and not leaving any valuables in sight has worked for me quite well, the lock on one of the doors hasn’t worked for about 4 years and it’s been broken into only once and all that was stolen were some old CDs I had in the glove box.
I’m thinking this would be an awesome candidate to turn into a track car
Yeah, just got rear ended last week by a brand new Benz SUV.
Nothing screams sales success like a mid engine hot hatch...
These big land yachts are pretty comfy, yet nothing beats an old Citroen.
Up to three? You must mean at least those three.
So, just as a thought exercise, what do you think it would get to have this pass the TUV inspection like the minivan did?
I do believe the Sprite is the happiest looking car ever built and I’d love to own one, it has to be fun to drive 10/10 all the time just to keep up with traffic.
Hahaha, very close, but designed for places that do allow lane splitting.
I’m with you, I’d love to see a version with a roof, maybe even 3 wheels like the Yamaha tricity and you’d have perhaps the most innovative city vehicle of recent time.
I’ll give it a try, have so much stuff to do on the project cars that the DD can get forgotten about and neglected sometimes. The door that doesn’t open at all is the one I’m most scared of, don’t know if I’ll be able to remove the door card but I guess I’ll never know unless I try.
My daily driver is turning 15 this year, mechanically it’s perfect and pretty much everything in it works. Paint is faded but a respray isn’t too complicated. The biggest concern with it are surprisingly the doors, one doesn’t lock, one doesn’t open at all and the driver’s door sometimes gets stuck closed until you…
I’m surprised I haven’t seen any small vans like these in the US, those things can do 50 mpg all day and are super cheap to operate at least until the diesel pump goes and it’s an almost $3k fix.
Took the Skip Barber course on Road Atlanta and that part was the one I’d least expected, the instructors were really hauling on those vans.
