Certainly none of the ones I’ve seen but they’ve all been pre 1972.

Nah apparently these guys actually did make cars; would love to see a more in depth article on them actually.

My car came with 45 profile tires from the factory, after destroying 5 tires in less than 2 weeks I switched to 50 profile and so far haven’t had a puncture in 6 years just because of that tiny difference. The previous tires did grab the road like a fly though...

Cheap to repair though, if you do it yourself; recently bought one with a blown head gasket, warped head, bad rocker shaft and leaking like a sieve and $250 and a few hours of work later it’s running pretty well! Didn’t even need to take the engine out!

Couldn’t help but notice that in fact, the engine is out in that MGB.

Had that same thought when I heard it, Halle Berry is around 50 and Ariel is supposed to be 19 I think? Strange, but OK; then I found out it was not actually Halle Berry and it made more sense.

I believe since this F1 transmission is just an automated manual that the car can be converted to be a regular manual while keeping the gearbox. Obviously this will cost around $12-15k on top of the car’s price but if done correctly would be recouped on the resale value so I’ll say NP for someone who can do some DIY.

Right, so it appears the ice cream electrical system is completely independent of the propulsion electrical system. This is important because what it means is a conventional, cheaper diesel or gasoline powered van can be outfitted with batteries for the ice cream production, and thus doesn’t need to be left idling

I was more thinking of my Morris Minor, with about half the power of an Excel on hills I’m usually flooring it in 3rd to get 40-45 MPH, don’t need to turn off the air conditioning because there is none.

As an owner of quite a few cars with very modest horsepower I appreciate your calculations but you’re not taking into account hills; pretty much any car can do 70 on a flat road but once there’s a hill the speed drops very very quickly.

Wait until someone discovers Mitsubishi actually made these in proper LHD for a few Latin American countries. Called L300 4x4 but the same thing; also, most were manuals.

I’ve been to a few cities where taxis have lowered their rates to compete with Uber, unsuccessfully; Uber consistently has newer, cleaner cars, nicer drivers, and much easier ways to deal with problems such as a bad driver or something left behind in a car.

Probably, and as with all the 4 door ”coupes” and similar stuff in the market they’ll probably call it something like a “fixed-head roadster activity vehicle” or something like that.

Just with the cost of parking it is already cheaper in many cases to take an Uber or Lyft than driving.

The Exige’s ground clearance is listed at around 5", maybe 4" with a full load plus it’s a short car with stiff suspension so honestly it wouldn’t have any trouble with the 3" speed bumps from the article.

On the Camry drivers defense, I drove an old Montero that had a bad brake light switch so it would not disengage the cruise control when braking. Sure, stomping on the cold brakes would have stopped it fast, but just using them to slow down would heat them up VERY quickly and after about 5 seconds the difference in

I mean, sure, but wouldn’t it just be easier and cheaper to just put some padding around the cart to reduce the damage when they do hit cars?

Not the most unusual story but it happened just last month; the car I learned to drive in around 1994 sort of fell in my lap so in went all the savings and my dad lent me the rest which I’m paying back with parts for his cars. (It’s amazing how few Jaguar parts end up costing as much as a complete MGB!)

Most don’t to me but Koenigsegg is the one exception, as a firm led pretty much by only one man there’s some passion in his cars that I just don’t find in something like the Chiron or any current Ferrari.

Yeah not camouflaging it would probably have been a better camouflage, there’s no way anyone would have seen that and gone “Look, a new car prototype!”
