What sort of daily mileage are we talking about? I’d say get a 2016 Fiat 500E for around $10k (no clutch but no slushbox either) and save all the rest of the money, maintenance should be really cheap too although resale value will be nonexistent.

These are usually bought as fleet or company trucks, so whomever pays for the truck is not the person driving it; low power is actually a feature in this case.
Nice, what car? Some friends of mine rented Harleys and had a great time.
I have a few actually planned out:
I know new cars don’t require breaking in but taking a brand new Porsche balls out on the Nürburgring is the only thing I’m not loving about your plan, maybe leave that until after the first oil change?
That’s surprising, I’ve only driven the Auto actually but I imagine especially for racing the manual is the one to have.
How many of those are manuals though? I’m pretty sure the 500 is definitely not one of those cars where the auto is as fast or faster than the manual.
For some reason the turbo 4 cylinder is the one I find most appealing, it’s probably lighter and more tossable and 300hp should be more than enough.
That one, that’s completely unnecessary; some cars with proximity keys keep making noise after the ignition is switched off until the key is physically outside the car which is even more annoying.
I think there’s a chime if the key is in the ignition even if the car is switched off; that one’s just dumb.
Actually I did leave the keys in the trunk accidentally in my previous car; in the current one the trunk locks and unlocks with the doors so even that wouldn’t work.
That’s just terrible design then, in my car and a few others I’ve driven (some over 10 years old) if a door is open, the car won’t lock either through the door buttons or the one on the key. Just with that it’s almost impossible to lock the keys inside.
I don’t know why particularly US market cars have so many chimes; it’s pretty much impossible to lock the keys inside the car nowadays so that one is just stupid, some also have chimes right after you start the car for some reason, why?
Thanks!, will do!
First Jalopnik event I’ll actually be near to! If I can convince my friends to skip the concert I’ll be there. What about a little meet up at the track for those of us going to the race?
At least Purina already has their logo plastered all over in airports around the world, they’re way ahead of Apple in that respect.
Anyone else hoping someone like Richard Branson gets involved in this?
That was my thought exactly when I saw the grand staircase, just so much wasted space.
A tree stump is actually one of the tools Morgan Motors uses to build their cars so that’s not that unusual. Looks like he did a great job.
If you do get one you have to get married.
