I was told that keeping the car in gear with the clutch pedal pressed at traffic lights and in stop and go traffic would wear it down less than shifting to neutral.

Neither will be my Morris Minor but we can agree none of those are likely to be involved in a high speed chase with the police.

My dad had one of those, if it’s involved in a police chase the officers could walk over to the window and bust you before any speed is involved.

That, I’m not too familiar with airplanes (I was brought here from Jalopnik) but I do find the SR-71 amazing and very interesting.

I’ve had Sled Driver on my wish list for a while now but it’s always mind bogglingly expensive. I’m hoping either for the price to drop or maybe I’ll give it to myself as a present for my birthday or Christmas. Definitely want to read that one and The Untouchables.

On #4, I did read somewhere that in-flight refueling were tricky as the Blackbird had to be flown as slow as it could go so it was a bit unsteady while the tanker had to be flown almost near it’s max speed.

To be a bit more accurate, the iPhone you typed your comment in has more computing power than was available IN THE WHOLE WORLD back in the 60's

As long as Mazda doesn’t do a 4 door Miata...

Only thing I’d never drive is a Camry. (Unless it was the cheapest thing on the rental desk, definitely wouldn’t own one)

It’s doable, a couple of friends of mine rented Harleys for a roadtrip down the PCH and had a great time. Neither of them became a dentist nor a hell’s angel.

The Inferno was my dream car when I was 14! I never had enough money to get one but I did eventually end up with a mid 90's Serpent 1/8 scale .21 on road car which is a monster, but virtually impossible to find any parts or info for.

I used to race these back in the 90's and even back then the car with the easiest and most plentiful spares was the Team Associated RC10 GT stadium truck, (I still have three of those lying around somewhere)

That brought back memories, my first “proper” R/C car was a Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro stadium truck around 1994. Loads of parts are very similar to those on your car, and I remember having problems with the clutch even when the car was recent (think I went to a 2 shoe clutch).

I live in Guatemala and they’re everywhere, when they’re unable to pass a safety inspection or the check engine light refuses to go away they move down south and keep going for quite a few more years. (just found about a dozen for sale near me, all between $2k and $3k)

Yeah I’m pretty sure they’d simply place all the blame on the mother, she was the one who should have kept her legs closed, he was just “following impulse”.

That looks pretty cool, thought the base car was a sedan didn’t know there was a shooting break.

Even with driver error, the car is equipped with tons of cameras and sensors everywhere, why didn’t any of those keep it from crashing?

For bringing the car back to the road this is a definite CP, but it could make sense to make it into a race car.

All of those have a bit more modifications to the body than simply blanked out rear windows but yeah it’s not a new thing. (The Morris Van actually went all the way and used a separate chassis while the car was unibody)

Plus the Subaru can actually go off road (though the interiors are kinda crap) so I don’t get the comparison.
