So it IS an automotive, but not an automobile.
So it IS an automotive, but not an automobile.
Definitely, but playing devil’s advocate for the Hyundai; if you need to replace a tire on any of those it’s going to be at least twice the price. Probably a similar story with brake pads, higher fuel consumption, etc...
Not my thing, but I’d rather have one of these than a questionable resto-mod of an original C2
ABS isn’t really about shortening stopping distances; it usually does but that’s not why it was developed. ABS is about maintaining control when braking, and at that it is very good.
Dude I’m not even from the US, nor was any of the people involved in all of this, I’m from what your president fondly calls a “shithole country” so I think I can tell a directed attack from an honest mistake :)
Yes and no, the rubber bumpers on these MGs were really thick and sturdy; my dad had one and I remember it was very liberating to have a classic vintage roadster and at the same time not worry at all about parallel parking.
I agree, although even the GT doesn’t really keep all the water out if it rains enough.
I get the exact opposite, people get disheartened when I tell them I’ve done all the work myself. (The opposite responses are probably because there are no good restoration shops where I live, and manual labor is seen as “lowly”). I’d love to be able to subcontract and get high quality work done.
I’m surprised at how few people are seeing it like this, we call my niece and nephew “the monkeys” and had I seen this sweatshirt for sale I probably would have bought it for either of them. No one would have batted an eye if the model had been white, so in a way I think it’s actually more racist to say a black kid…
Buying a restored one from a club owner is probably the best bet. A friend of mine is restoring his and when all is said and done he’ll have sunk about $20k in it. (But it’s going to be BEAUTIFUL)
That’s the thing though, is it possible still to find one of these that hasn’t been already wrapped around a tree?
The one in the video is the 1000W model which runs around $500k (yes, FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND, or around 1000 David Tracy Jeeps)
That’s not despotic at all though, just common sense, what about banning anything over 3000 lbs and 150 hp for everyone except the people you like?
BRZ is high on my want list, that’s a good looking cluster but the analog speedo suffers from precisely what PhilP said, it’d be much better if 60 MPH were where 100 is now and then the rest of the way up to 160 were compressed in the same space. (note the “jumps” go first in increments of 10, then 20, then 30)
Personally I like having the analog speedo as well, I’ve seen a few that have different scales so that both useful speeds and ludicrous speeds can be displayed. Numbers higher in the range are closer together and the lower ones are spread apart further.
I’ve looked into them and they’re crazily, unbelievably expensive. I’d love to see one being used on a $300 Jeep.
Now I shot myself in the foot but in my defense it was the last one they had of its model year so I got a huge discount...
Right, the way the article is written paints the dude like an irrational despot but I’m betting anyone here who came across that kind of power would immediately use it to ban beige cars.
I agree with your car, temperatures should always have two digits and start with at least a 7 (2 if metric)
This just made me realize I come from a very blue car family; both my sister’s cars are blue, I also have one, and two of my dad’s are also blue. I’d say that’s above average at least.
