The last car they made that fit your criteria, I think, was the Juke. Polarizing for sure, but it found enough of a niche and brought enough attention to the brand that it mattered. It’s replacement, Kicks, couldn’t be blander.

I can see spending another $3-5000 to get it in tip-top shape, whereupon I could sell it on for exactly as much money as I have in it. Really. Corvettes hold value like no other American car, including Mustangs.

It’s at least a thing in commie-say-compensate-me california. They see it as a buyer and seller problem. If the car you want to buy has unpaid fees, and you buy it, it’s on you when you try to register it. The most obvious clue is that the car won’t have current registration. You can also/then look up the car online…
