Sometimes they will refer to that for your safety, or to avoid liability if they patch it and it comes apart. An unscrupulous place might refer to that to insist that you need new tires…

No, this is bull and it shouldn’t count as a speed record. Air resistance is a core component of speed records. Removing the primary obstacle to the record makes the record worthless.

OK, I’m calling it, clearly the best looking truck now is Ram. The back end is sort of a throwaway but the front is powerful and coherent instead of a cacophony of jarring lines and shapes exploding into each other like competition, especially Chevy and GMC. I totally was not expecting this, well played, Ram.

I really like the one upmanship the engineers at the Big 3 have been doing the past few years with their HD trucks. At this point these things will be pushing 2k ft/lbs in a few years.
