Heh, you did not play their first Smackdown games i guess? Those were not so western looking as the later titles on the PS2. Beside the WWE games they also made a handful wrestling games for the Japanese market

The author is obviously someone without any clues about the genre and just put up a fast list together to generate views and clicks as usual with his articles here. This one is especially flawed though with a game like King of Coloseum mentioned among mostly fantasy wrestling games.

Hmm means less pageviews for kotaku and a ton other websites which host these animations. Means the ads on those sites won't be seen as well..which means less revenue for the websites while the people stay on google.

Might be, but the last SMT related rpg game for consoles was Persona 4 and that was released 5 or 6 years ago already..after that it was handhelds only. No matter if spinoff or not..i miss my SMT for the big screens :-)

ah, thanks. I never played a Mother game by myself yet but know the main characters never saw any dragons so that jacked made me wonder why those were there

And they still can't play a ton of games because they are not emulated and not available for the pc.

A whole series or a long movie set in the borderlands universe could work for sure with all those funny characters and a quite good backstory
