Heh, i guess we can argue how important flawless emulation can be, for me it is just important to enjoy a game..often i don't even know such details anymore since it has been many years since i played the game on the original platform

Now if it would be easy and there were no stupid copyright rules, small companies like them could use fan translations of older games (at least as a base) to get games to the western audience..i am pretty sure there are enough fans who would love to work even for free on translations of it helps getting those japan…

As a big Super Metroid fan who still plays the game nearly every year i was really scared about losing my safefiles ..not that they would be precious...all endings and the whole game can be seen played now thanks to those tons of "lets play" videos on youtube ..but years ago i was damn happy about roms and emulators…

Guess that article was only for those people who still life in the past and enjoy a game more if played on a real snes. There is no real sense in it..but some people just prefer the oldschool way...

I stored a small pc in the tv cabinet, just with one 2 tb hdd, ps controllers via usb adaptor connected, a ton of emulators roms and some pc games too stored on it (mame!) and a lot ps2 isos too, that is a goddamn ideal solution to play old consoles (including wii) games on the big tv in the living room
