Not entirely a bad idea...

Have HRC’s devs expressed any plans to eventually make more emotions/expressions available in future updates?

This isn’t white privilege, it’s Christian privilege. A black or middle-eastern Christian saying this would bring no more attention to it.

This is simply not true. People do things for reasons we can explain, if we’re willing to wade through the work of doing so.

She’s probably insured for the theft. In which case she’s laughing because she just made $200,000 where she might not have made nearly that much otherwise.

We’re not in disagreement on this at all.

I know that Taylor Swift is problematic, but can we leave the Nazi comparisons to people who are totalitarian, fascist, and/or anti-Semitic?

I’m just surprised that she’s still around. She’s like a bad itch.

Sorry, it’s not. She very suddenly went from being a well deserved symbol of snark to a realized person with a horrible tragedy. This IS going to be interesting and I have faith in the commentariat to rally around her. Gawker commentariat is not heartless; Kristin is like our goofy slightly stupid youngest sister that

The cost of an immense public transportation infrastructure that would completely replace cars and allow people to use personal transportation that much would still be cheaper than what is currently spent on cars. But you don’t need that. You barely need ANY replacement for a car. You do need your community to adapt

lol the idea that humans are needed to produce food is so quaint.

Audience reads title, skims article, becomes enraged, comments immediately. Sounds about right.

Couldn’t it? Mass transit isn’t really effective in LA because it’s poorly funded and public resources (space and $) are allocated to cars instead. Design and fund infrastructure for cars, and you’ll get a good infrastructure for cars. I agree that it’s not practical for the entire country, but it doesn’t have to be

You missed a spot.

“And if you don’t live in a city—or don’t want to—banning cars benefits you, too. Besides the obvious health benefits, more efficient transportation systems will make it easier to get where you need to go and reduce the overall costs of goods and services brought to your door. If you need a vehicle

You didn’t actually read the article: “Car bans are as simple as they sound: They restrict private automobiles from entering a city.”

Yes exactly: “Car bans are as simple as they sound: They restrict private automobiles from entering a city. You might have already seen how this works in a pedestrian-prioritized historical district, which is common in bigger cities. So we start the ban there, in the biggest cities”

Most of the time it’s because people aren’t doing the math. The insane car/insurance/gas payments are usually less than the difference in more expensive living combined with public transit.
