forgive me for asking this but is there any RPG out there where it gives you a set of characters that you play with throughout the game who's story arcs are believable and well done and suddenly one of the characters leaves your party but promises to come back, some small thing they needed to take care of...
This game should not have been a stand alone game as is, it's too thin and they were better off making a "PIRATES!" in space.
all I want is a city building game where you can build your city (Sim City), build your own house and play in it (The Sims) and drive on your own streets and do missions (Streets of Sim City), maybe even throw some godzilla moments and we'll call it good.
I always wanted to find a city building game where you not only play as the mayor but also can jump in a car and drive around in 1st or 3rd person and do missions for the fun of it, like car races, cops and robbers, natural disaster relief, or even play as a monster tearing down buildings.

My face is everything turned to putty in my hands
DONE.

I like how people pirate games and then complain to the developers when they fall into pirate traps...
you don't steal merchandise, then complain to customer service.

Talk about killing the messenger...
dont be afraid to hide your shame
Farcry 2 had a system where you would be saved by your AI pal once if you activated... er talked to them in your safehouse. it also had a mechanic in which you had to save them if they got hit bad... I didn't know at the time but there was a limit to how many time you could save them from death.
ah here's the fun part in Space engineers... you don't HAVE to craft. you can just sit in your cozy base and every once in a while get in your ship and hunt down a derelict vessel and loot their stuff, get into that ship and bring it to base for the next run.
or you can get "space engineers" that comes with a toolkit to make your own worlds
yes, yes a million times yes.
it'll create a sense of choice knowing that you can either a ramp or a near death jump on your enemy.
Mount&Blade gave you a good sense or choice concerning your health and altitude.
